iTEC

iTEC is a large-scale project which is taking an informal look at the potential classroom of the future.

The aim is to develop engaging scenarios for learning in the future classroom, which are to be validated in a large-scale pilot and subsequently taken to scale.

The first step is for teachers to develop a range of scenarios for learning courses, teaching thinking and entirely new ways of learning.

As the teachers describe the scenarios, other project partners will develop the technical tools.

Large scale validation will involve many countries, and subsequently result in localization of resources and settings to different countries.

The project is managed by EUN, the European Schoolnet. UNI•C is, in addition to participating in the development of scenarios and associated validation, ‘building the bridge’ between the developers of the scenarios and the developers of the technical tools.

The project started September 2010 and will run for four years.
